1. Overview

This Insurance Policy describes cover provided by APP TEC CAR RENTALS LTD (trading as AppTec Car Rentals) for vehicle rentals in Cyprus through appteccarrentals.com.

2. Included cover — third-party liability

Every rental includes basic third-party liability insurance as required by Republic of Cyprus law. This covers bodily injury and property damage you cause to third parties while using the rental vehicle within permitted territory.

Third-party liability is included in the daily rate — no separate charge.

3. Damage to the rental vehicle

Damage to, or theft of, the rental vehicle is not fully covered under the basic rate. Your financial responsibility is limited to the security deposit pre-authorised at pickup:

  • Economy: €250
  • Compact: €300
  • Sedan: €350
  • SUV: €400

4. Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

CDW reduces your liability for collision damage and theft. Excess amounts and daily CDW fees are quoted at pickup. CDW does not cover:

  • Tyres, wheels, and windscreen (unless glass cover purchased)
  • Undercarriage, clutch, or interior damage from negligence
  • Damage from prohibited use, off-road driving, or unlisted drivers
  • Loss of keys or documents

5. Exclusions (all cover levels)

  • Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Use by unlisted or unqualified drivers
  • Cross-border travel without written approval
  • Racing, towing, or commercial use
  • Damage from continued driving after warning lights

6. Accidents and claims

Report all accidents to the police where required and to APP TEC CAR RENTALS LTD within 24 hours at support@appteccarrentals.com or +357 94 498 088. Do not admit fault at the scene. Obtain names, contact details, and photos.

7. Personal belongings

Personal items left in the vehicle are not covered. We recommend travel insurance for belongings.
